How would you feel if your husband got promoted and dedicated it to you?

My husband has a job where he has to travel a lot. And even when he is at home, he works from here. So he is working all the time. In the beginning, I felt very lonely and abandoned. But I understood what he was trying to do and started taking part in his discussions about his work and office. And at one point of time, he had to work for long hours and would rarely be home. Yes, I did feel bad but I tried to support him in every way I could. Yesterday, my husband came home and told me that he got promoted with a significant increase in salary. I could see the happiness in his eyes and on his face. And his way of thanking me was sending me a mail from his official id. That was the first mail he sent after his promotion, it carried his new designation. He had written that he could not have done it without my help and support. I had sacrificed a lot of things for this work of his. More than me, my daughter has sacrificed a lot. All you wives out there, how do you feel when your hard work and sacrifice is rewarded? How do you feel when your husband comes home and dedicates the promotion to you? Personally, I was happy that he got his promotion after long hours of hard work.

Well, I do believe in every man's success there is a woman behind it. sometimes men are being misunderstood whenever we are busy. Our wife/girlfriend is usually getting annoyed of us whenever we don't give them much attention. If you only knew how to divide our time just to be perfect. All we need is just your trust and little consideration.

Even I found it very difficult in the beginning. But when I saw how bad he wanted growth in his office, I decided to let him follow his heart. Anyways, you guys don't listen even if we say no:-D Seriously speaking, I am happy to see him successful. Am proud of his accomplishments.

This is a very sweet and touching story. I am happy for you that your husband was able to attain his goal, but I think it is so lovely that he credited his best friend, his hard working, long-suffering life companion. Sounds like you have a great guy. Congratulations and best wishes to BOTH of you!

It will surely send tears to my eyes.:) You are a good wife and you deserve it. Your husband is lucky to have you to support him all throughout his endeavors. And, you are also equally lucky that your husband sees all your sacrifices and great enough to recognize it and even thanking you for it. Way to go, Devijay.:) Congratulations to you for bringing the best in your husband and congratulations to your husband for having a great career and a loving and ever supportive wife!

I would be proud of my husband if he were to receive a promotion. Promotions come from hard work and loys of time and and effort anf pride in a job well done. itg would have o be a wonderful feeling to share this accomplishmednt with him. If he were to dedicate the promotion to me, it would make me even prouder. To think that he would give me credit for something he did is inspiring.

It is a wonderful feeling. It is much better because I too worked hard and gave up a lot of things for his work. I am proud of him.

I enjoyed reading this story, you should be proud of yourself for all of the sacrifices you have made to help your husband and the fact that he realized and gave you credit for doing all of this is wonderful. I have not had the pleasure of having this situation at least not yet, but I bet it would be a great feeling. To be acknowledged for your hard work is to be appreciated.

Yes I am. And I still am making sacrifices 'cause his promotion is making him work even more. We are apart most of the time and it is only me who takes care of everything at home, my daughter and her school. But I feel happy knowing that all this is not going to go a waste.

I completely agree with you tarveen. Without family support, it would have been very difficult for him to get to where he is now. By family I meant his parents too. Thanks.
