I have yet another abscess, except this one is lots, lots bigger than the others i have had, plus it will not burst. The abscess is alot more painful aswell and is in my groin where the glands are.In the past i had this problem under my arms and i had to have the glands in my arm pits removed. They did say that this problem my happen again and that it could cause abscesses on my other glands.Well i am going to ask my dr to see if he can remove the abscess in the drs surgery, rather than at the hospital.Antibiotics are not much good when i am on other medication,as there are alot of antibiotics that i can not use.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I have several health problems myself, especially with my lymph nodes, and am also becoming imune to certain antibiotics, so I can partially understand what you're going through.

My white cells are always high when they take my blood to test, but as soon as i get an abscess i am supposed to let them know, this time i was thinking that it may go down on its own,but just like the ones i had under my arm pits i know now that it will not.My dr has given me a local ansteetic before and gor rid of one,but that was due to i was healthier, where as i am live vacine at the moment,so it will be the case of antibiotics or another op at hospital.I do not like hospitals as when they took my arm pit glands out i ended up with mrsa, which took over six months before it was gone and a further six months until i was well again.

I feel for you, it sounds so painful! I had a small cut on my knee which infected and turned into a hard boil. It was so unbearably sore and I struggled to walk. I had to have surgery on it to open it and drain it and took an antibiotic which gave me thrush but that’s another story! It took ages for the infection to disappear even after the operation. It is a problem being restricted with the antibiotics. I am sorry you are going through this...

It's so painful just hearing it from u!! LIke u said, it will not burst and that makes it much worst!! One thing i dun understand, why do one need to remove their glands when abscess is formed?? It's a permanent thing once one has got that problem?? Does it happen to everybody or it's just special for your case?

I have a cyst on my tailbone that is quite large and a little tender if I sit for a long time. I have had it before and it got infected and was very painful. I had it drained and they said at the time that if it returned I would have to have it removed. I have heard that the surgery is very painful, so I hoped to have it drained again. They won't do it unless it becomes infected again, which I had hoped to avoid. I can imagine how painful one in your groin would be! Maybe there is a local antibiotic that you can use instead of taking another pill.

My partner has had a few health problems, and it started to get her down as this became one thing after another. I hope you can get this resolved fairly quickly.

First of all, check your post prandial blood sugar level. If you have to remove again your glands, make a biopsy of it & culture its content. If the culture is positive, do a sensitivity test & take a course of antibiotic according to the sensitivity test report. Keep in mind that it is very difficult to eradicate a glandular abscess & so you have to keep patience for a better result.

I don't like what you are telling me. What is causing the abscess? It seems like this would be my main concern. I hate when they start removing parts of the body because if given a chance the body can heal it's self. I know that you have been unwell but forgot why. Is it treatable? Can you give me more info? PM me if you want.

If you don't know already, maybe you should ask why you're getting these abscesses. Perhaps there is something you can do yourself to stop them from occurring.

I can completely see where you are coming from when you say that you are fed up with going to see the doctor. My husband is in that exact same boat, he's been dealing with kidney stones this year and also what is turning out to be chronic back pain. He can't get answers about what is causing his back pain and his doctor is basically turning his back on my husband. It really hurts me because it seems like he can't get answers because the doctors don't want to listen to him.

Im so sorry you have to go through all this again. Id try to find out WHY you get abscesses in the first place. Maybe its something you eat or some medication you take. There are so many side effects to medication now that sometimes they make you even more sick. Hope you can be rid of this very soon.

I hate the doctor! I will take care of my body as much as possible because I really hate seeing the doctor! Aside from the cost, I just feel like being sicker seeing him.
