Juxtapositions at Glastonbury

One of the strangest sights at the festival this year (held at end of June). Was seeing the huge pile of recycling outside the recycling centre on site - over 150,000 people attend. A ginormous pyramidal shaped piles of beer cans, plastic bottles, plastic everything, the occasional smelly disposable baby nappy, the occasional plastic bottle someone has urinated in (presumably when they're squashed up in the crowd watching some music) and yes that would have to be a male! Cardboard cartons with pictures of the World Cup England squad and their foreign manager. Then look into the distance... the Pyramid Stage down the hill, in the valley, and further again Glastonbury Tor, some miles off into the distance. Then of course the act to go and see... would be Plastic Beach, Gorillaz - puts it all in context... What have been your recent surreal moment; well so far this Summer anyway? Pray tell, we would all like to know!

That must have been a very strange sight to see in Glastonbury. One time in Bristol I saw a collection of recycling material made into a robot. It had all kinds of thrown out electronic equipment and it looked amazing. I don't think I have have any surreal moments lately. I have now moved into a bungalow and there is more room for my kids here. It was strange how the builders work seemed to go in the lounge. I am getting someone else to kit a new kitchen. At the end of June and beginning of July I was traveling in Canada.

Hope you're getting some better experiences with the builders now! Sounded a bit of a nightmare you had before, that was described in another of your posts!!!

I have got some quotes for having my new kitchen fitted and I have got a wonderful builder lined up to do that job. My bungalow is beginning to take shape now. This week I have some curtain rails going up and more flooring being laid down.
