I think, for me, it was Cape Breton, in eastern Canada
We lost the photos, because our camera was stolen.
We had some amazing photos, the beautiful mountains, rising out of the mist, and then plunging into the boiling sea. Breathtaking. I would love to see all that hardwood in late September.
Here is an article I wrote about where we live now, and has an interesting photo of the colour of the soil. There is another of the incredible sunsets we get out our back door and the beautiful fall colours.

I have wanted to visit Canada for many years, but not had the opportunity.. Let´s see if something like a miracle takes me there one day. Your place would be good to start with and then explore the rest of the country...

I love it when mylot friends share interesting photos! Having traveled a LOT this year, I saw many interesting sights so it is hard to choose, but three probably stand out from all the rest:
1) Looking down at Manhattan from a helicopter,
2) Sparkling Fireflies rising up and down and layered as thick as a blanklet over the green fields in Pennsylvania,
3) Brilliant red rocks behind a Mormon cemetery in Arizona where instead of markers they piled the bright red earth up in mounds over the graves.

Hi, dr Ann
If you like to travel, why not come here and see this part of the world. I could show you some of our beautiful nature.
You can check our place here: http://www.overtornea.se/
There are web cameras and a movie on the right side..

Well, a trip to northern Scandinavia then. If you plan it, let me know!
March is a great winter month here, when the light comes back and most times the skiing weather is good too. The ice hotel has not melted yet that time, so why not live there for some days?? You might see the Northern Lights there!

Thank you for the links. I had a look at the Webbkameror! Very beautiful. Also I have cousins who live in Norway, so I am sure I would feel right at home, although I am more used to hot dry weather. I love the Aurora Borealis too, which I imagine you see often in your part of the world.

It sure is beautiful and lovely. Nature and its natural phenomenons are always awesome. Well, as for me, I didn't travel that much till now and I have to say the most beautiful scenery would only be in the
form of pics and photos. I guess even this one is one among them. Have a great day...

Yes, isn´t it great that we can see so much beauty on Internet so we don´t need to travel for seeing other countries. It would be great to see some photos from your part of the world..

hi buenavida that is really beautiful and when I was about fifteen I also saw the aurora
borealis from out our northern windows from our farm South Dakota. they were so beautiful that I never forgot and only wished at that time I had had some way to take the picture but alas all I had was a cheap brownie . the colors played on that vast cold night sky were just miraculous. gorgeous.

I was talking about the photo I downloaded to "life" on the right side - it is in my profile page too. Easier to find there if you want to see it in bigger form.
There are so many beautiful places on the earth. I would really like to see the place you talk about..

Wow, that's awesome. I always wish that one day I can
visit to the North and see the northern Lights (Aurora)
The most memorable natural scenery that I love was when
I was at Pulau Redang (an island at the north of Malaysia),
it is the time when we manage to see the sun rise...beautiful
and really captivating. I felt like the time has just stop
and I keep admiring the beauty of it.

Yes, there is so much beauty almost anywhere in the world. We just have to look for it. In winter we sometimes see the Northern Lights and that is really beautiful too. I wrote a poem about it that you find in Triond. My username is the same as here.
Thanks for your response..

Does look very nice.
I have seen way too much beautiful scenery. Most recently up at Redwoods State and National Parks. Huge trees, lots of ferns, just a gorgeous gorgeous area!
