how to choose a tutor

Hello everyone!next year i will finish my undergraduate study.Now I'm facing with the problem to choose a tutor,because i want to be a scientist in the future. One honorable Professor asked me about my specific research interests and my career plans.But I don't know how to answer the questions.I don't know what is my specific intersts and i have no career plans at all. What about your situations? Do you have the same confusion?Please give me some suggestion and how to reply those two questions?
