Hi, I have headache now and drinking black coffee is good for me. I only drink pain reliever medicine when I can't tolerate the pain. Yes, I also heard that there is side effects.... sometimes the medicine we take is not totally dissolved in our body. A friend of mine had gone operation years ago because of this.

Hi there...Is there another choices a side from black coffee? I don't drink coffee at all. I hate taking medicine. Especially the big one. I can't swallow.

I also eat dark chocolate. Some findings shows that chocolate could trigger headache, but not for me, so why not trying it... eat in moderation. I would like to share with you this article at http://blisstree.com/eat/can-chocolate-actually-help-headaches/ ...I hope it could help you decide.

Maybe your headache and migraine is caused by your astigmatism. Yes! too much and too frequent use of pain medications or chronic use of pain medications like NSAIDS or Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatory medications can cause Peptic Ulcer disease. Our gastric mucosa protects itself from gastric acid with layers of mucus. These mucus secretion is stimulated by Prostaglandins. NSAIDS blocks cyclooxygenase 1 which is essential in the production of prostaglandin. Without prostaglandin, our gastric mucosa cannot produce mucus and so we can develop peptic ulcer. Maybe you should consult your opthalmologist to see if you have problem with your glasses, maybe you need a higher grade or there are surgeries for astigmatism like Photorefractive keratotomy, it uses a laser beam to remove small portion of corneal surface to reshape it and Laser-assisted in situ- keratomileusis. These are surgical interventions for refractive errors like Astigmatism.
