I honestly don't know any other musician from India other than A R Rahman. I've known him because of the movie Slumdog Millionaire's theme song, Jai Ho which was sung by the Pussycat Dolls. So that's where I came across his name. As for seeing his achievements.. won academy awards, grammys, bafta and golden globe. It just goes to show that he is internationally acclaimed and that of all musicians in India, he is the most decorated in terms of the awards that he received and will be receiving. So YES. A R Rahman is the King of Indian Music.
