When you go to a concert, you want to see a show or listen to quality music?

I have seen many concerts from international stars, it is true not live, but in TV, but I realized that is more important for stars to have a visual show and not concentrating on singing well and accurately. I mean, it seems that it's not the quality of music which makes a superstar, but the shows they put on. I think that a good singer is a person who sings well and accurately and not the one who changes his clothes x times during a concert, uses lasers and other special effects, moves too much and tires, and when it comes to singing, he barely has voice because of the fatigue. How do you feel? Do you have the same impression?

Hello, Rappeter. When I go to a concert - which isn't very often these days, as the ones I want to go to are so expensive - I go for the singer, not the special effects. If I don't get the best of the singer, I feel cheated. The two acts I love to see in concert are Cliff Richard and the Eagles, as they make sure that their live performances sound just as good as their recordings. And they spend time in between songs talking to the fans as well. If only all concerts were like theirs.

Do you think that nowadays stars tend to put more accent on visual show then on accurate singing? And the only thing that they can say to the crowd is that: I love you and Make some noise? Or is is just me who things this way?

Yes, I think you're right. The so-called 'stars' of today could learn from the veteran entertainers. These days, too many people are pitchforked into stardom via talent shows. They don't learn their trade, and how to handle an audience, like their predecessors did.

Well I can say that I would already be knowing the music by heart so I will go there to watch the show and to feel the vibration too. Concert is good to attend when you have been waiting for it much time and the atmosphere is cool too.

So it means you go there just because the person who sings is there? It doesn't matter to you if he/she sings terrible live? In the studio everybody can sing well, but in concerts not. If I would go to a concert and paid big money, and the only thing which was good is the show and the atmosphere created by the crowd, then I would be very mad and ask my money back. A singer is supposed to sing, not to make visual effects and change clothes every 30 minutes. They earn far more then they deserve, at least they should give all the best for performing well and singing accurately. At least this is how I think.

It is the music that impresses me more every time. I enjoy the different musical instruments played, and I very much appreciate the perfectness of the players in tune with the singers and as the conductor wants. They are really very talented and gifted players.
