"Seven"/"Se7en" Alternate Ending? Warning, contains *Spoilers*

This film really makes you think. There are so many metaphors and questions about human nature.
If you haven't seen this film, read no further!
If you own the DVD you may want to check out an extra that contains a storyboard of an alternate ending to the film that I think would have been really interesting if they had filmed it.
At the end of the movie, Brad Pitt becomes "Wrath" and kills John Doe, but in the alternate storyboard, Morgan Freeman sees that Pitt can't help but kill him and to save his life and career, he shoots Kevin Spacey himself. He was retiring and was older. The storyboard was really good and worked really well. I'm torn between the two endings. I think it would be great if they had shot this one as well.
Has anyone else seen this or reading it, do you think it would have made a good ending or extra?

That would've been an interesting ending! It could've lighten the burden of the story a bit if that was the ending. But I actually like the original ending better. It leaves you with this uneasy feeling after seeing the movie. And that lingering tension was probably the reason why Se7en was and still is one of my favorite movies of all time. :)

It really stays with you doesn't it? I love Morgan Freeman. I'm not such a fan of Brad Pitt's acting usually, but he's perfect for the role of David in this.
I'd like to just see the alternate ending as an extra on the DVD, just to see it played out.

It was released in 1995. I don't suppose that 15 years later there's much chance of getting the three big actors together again to film a DVD extra! Sadly!

Yup it really does. It's quite disturbing, but in a good cinematic kind of way. Oh and yes, they should release an alternate ending as a DVD special feature. perhaps release an anniversary special edition? How many years has it been since it was released? It's been a long time but the movie still seems so fresh. :)
