Was Randiv innocent in Sehwag incident?

When Sehwag was playing at 99, I was 100% sure that he will score a century and I was excited about only one thing that whether he will hit a six or not. When the ball was given to Randiv, it became more interesting...however, when Randiv bowled 2nd ball that went for 4 byes I could not digest that, if u see the replay, you could see that Sanga was pulling his hand towards leg side and the ball could have gone to off side even if it would have touched the bat, still there was a chance that Sehwag will hit a six or atleast a four, but if you see the replay, you will come to know that Sanga was telling Randiv something about century, obviously, he wouldnt be saying "Randiv make sure that the next ball will be a full-toss so that he can hit a six and score a century", just after Sanga's comment, we saw the result, Randiv (who did not deliver a single no ball in more than 100 overs in test matches) bowled a No ball. I am not sure but I did not see involvement of Dilshan in this case, and also, I dont think Dilshan will say anything against Sehwag (Sehwag is his captain in DD team). Sanga, tried to be innocent at the presentation ceremony and didn't confess his role in that incident, poor Randiv went to Sehwag and apologised and still we can see the result, Srilanka board just to show that they are transparent, they have fined Dilshan and Randiv but Sanga has been kept out of this conspiracy. If you feel Randiv is guilty, think what will you do if you are new to the team and your captain asks you to do something like that, if you do it, captain will be happy and you will get another chance in the team, if you do not do it, no one will appreaciate you and m not sure if you will get another chance in the team after some time. So my point here is, Randiv is not culprit in this case but he is a victim same as Sehwag and the main culprit is Sangakkara who is out of this mess. Doesn't it indicates that the Srilanka team management and captain has this kind of mentality and they are taking all the steps just to show the world that what happened was not pre-planned but a co-incedence?

Randiv is not innocent in the Sehwag incident. In fact, he has been culpable and an active participant in the incident. I also think he has been stupid. The legside wide rules in ODI cricket is so strict that had he bowled a legside wide, it would have been really difficult to pin him. By bowling such a long no-ball he only made himself look stupid in the eyes of the whole world. This is not something you need at the start of your career, especially when you are in the middle of a good run with the national team. Cheers! Ram

I agree with you, he is stupid but one thing for sure, he will last long in sri lanka team, that's becoz he is following his seniors and team management, as I mentioned earlier in my comment, I feel, Sanga is the culprit, here is another incident that happened in the abandoned match today against NewZealand: Sangakkara has been issued a level 2 charge for incident with Nathan McCullum today. You can read the full story on Cricinfo but this shows Sangakkara's attitude against his opponents...he doesnt deserves to be a captain of any International Team !!!

he is the one bowled the noball, so he is not innocent but when considered to sanga and dilshan he is innocent, because he just followed his senior player.

i would say that this no ball was well planned by sanga and dilshan and executed by randiv. actually randiv should not have done this, but what he could do when two senior ask him to do so?
