Taking a life!

No i have never taken a life before and i don't intend to! I guess this is the thought that comes to people's mind when they see this. Well at least most sane people but that's exactly what i mean. Have you ever taken a life before? It doesn't mean human only. Maybe killed something or more commonly some pests which you don't like or something which you find very disturbing? Did you ever take a second's thought while doing so. I have myself killed lots of bugs and pests but i have learnt that what they do is struggle to survive. I can't undo what i have done but at least i want everyone to know that taking a life no matter big or small is taking a life...

Oddly enough I just killed a grasshopper and a moth within in the span of 2 weeks. Which is kinda unusual for living in the city. But I've been feeling bad about it ever since. It's just that they went into my room and kept landing on me and creeped the hell out of me. I didn't want to smack them with a slipper but I did and I regret it. Thing is, that is the most human reaction of all which is to try to eliminate or do away with something that scares us no matter how big or small. I now know I have to control myself and have given myself a new motto which is not to kill or hurt anyone or anything not able to kill me.

Hi raviteja_ravi84, No, I have never taken a human life, but I have killed many annoying bugs and rodents. Some of those things have some very serious dieases that will cause harm to humans, adults and children alike. I think it is better, to safeguard your family's or human's health than to let infectious lower form of life roam around indangering human lives. I don't deliberately go around looking to killing any living thing, but if I see a snake, for instance, that was threating someone and I had the power to save one or the other, I will choose to save the human. We, humans, are suppose to have the high athority over any lower form of animals. If we eat meat, so animal give up its life so that we could enjoy a delicious meal. All form of life will eventually die. It is called the cycle of life.

Whoa! Is there some kind of killing convention of ideas I don't know about? I have been answering a lot of discussions here about ideas of killing someone. Anyway, I haven't taken a life of a human being, nor would I ever do so or even plan about it. I have killed dozens of bugs though like cockroaches as they really bite and you'll have a pus like bruise and it's annoying. Besides, they're also vectors of viruses and bacteria which could kill humans. I think it's best to just kill them. Even though, like what you said, they're also struggling for survival, I would still go for their eradication (kinda like in an action movie ). Anyhow, it's ok to feel sorry for them, but what if they infected your food with disease and you're suffering from it and you're really weak, or your loved one is bed ridden because of the virus bugs bring, would you still feel sorry for them? I'm not saying that their lives are irrelevant, but like what I answered in some of the discussions about killing, you're just protecting yours and your family's health and welfare.
