Do you use the "+", "!" and "-" options on every discussion page?

am not using any options like that in my discussion page yet.... am always using the "..." this option to use with the mylot... happy mylotting....

First of all, I would like to welcome you here in mylot. ^_^ I am also new here. I am a member 5 months ago but I only got active yesterday because at first, I do not understand how this website works. For your question, I have never used these options but I guess these options will determine if a certain post is good or not. I believe that if you are marked to have the best response, you're going to have a reward. Am I right? Correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway, Happy Mylotting!!

The Discussion Rating System is fully explained in the FAQs here: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq17.aspx Yes, it does matter if someone rates your post. We are told that the DRS is 'factored in' to the Earnings algorithm, so the better quality your posts - and the more other people rate them as good quality - the more you will earn. You must be careful about this, however. The way that it works is sophisticated and designed to catch cheating so asking your friends to rate all your posts with '+' regardless is very likely to actually reduce your rating and theirs! Also, you must NEVER solicit for '+' ratings (see the Guidelines: http://www.mylot.com/o/guidelines.aspx ) The best way to use the ratings system is to mark any posts you see which you think are excellent and 'above average' as '+' and to hardly ever use the '-' rating, even if you don't actually agree with what someone says. The '-'ve rating should ONLY be used for discussions, responses and comments which go against the spirit of MyLot (which is free, open, original, relevant and descriptive discussion and is defined in the Guidelines). The 'report' ('!') button should be used whenever you see a discussion or response which definitely goes against the Guidelines. We are asked to help MyLot staff in identifying poor or illegal discussions, so you need to have read and understood the Guidelines very thoroughly before you use this. DO NOT think of reporting something as 'grassing', 'snitching' or 'sneaking' on another member. It is up to ALL of us and in everyone's best interest to see that MyLot keeps up the high standard and reputation which it so richly deserves! Reporting something does NOT mean that it will automatically be deleted: it is simply a way of saying to Admin "I think that you should take a look at this!" Whether a discussion is actually deleted or not is solely at Admin's discretion. The rating buttons and the report facility should be used wisely and intelligently and doing so can only help your reputation here. If you misuse them, however, you will certainly harm yourself more than others.

No I don't use those options on each discussion but yeah I do use the option + and - wherever I find some good/bad reply by mylotters.. ! I rarely use just when I found that person's discussion can harm anyone's computer or account..
