Sharia Law

The following has been reported on cbsnews.com, August 19th 2010, and also on BBC News, UK's Sky News, August 20th, and Aolnews.com, August 21st:
A Judge in Saudi Arabia Asks Hospitals to Sever a Man's Spine as Punishment for his knife attack during a fight with another man.
Amnesty International reports this is torture and a violation against international conventions.
Under Sharia Law, punishments include gouging out eyes, extracting teeth, chopping off limbs, and the well-known beheading and less-known crucifying the headless body.
Is this the "law" of a "peaceful and loving" religion? Or is this "cruel and unusual punishment"?
Under Sharia, trials are closed to the public, no lawyers are present, and defendants may not know their punishment until it happens, including death.
"Quisas" or retributions are meted out.
Is this the kind of "law" that we are headed for in America? Is this the kind of "law" now taking effect in England?
As a usurper celebrates Ramadan in the WH and opens the door to devout Muslims in positions of National Security and other offices in his "administration", lays out the welcome mat, saying America is a Muslim country, and cancels our "National Day of Prayer", this should certainly give Americans "pause for thought".

Welcome to Reality. You can now read Sharia Laws in English on the net. I found them, but lost the link when Homeland Security recently crashed my computer for me. I will find it again. That was not the site that I was crashed for visiting by the way. More and more communities in the US are having to deal with bits and pieces of Sharia Law. Dearborn, was the latest to hit the National News, but there are lots that only hit their local news. a town near me that is actually a county seat just tried to pass it into their laws, but one city commissioner, bless him held tough and said NO. What happens when he is voted out in November? Yeah, I will steer clear of that town for sure.
Read Sharia for yourself before you post another post about it. Share it with EVERYONE you know. You will be VERY enlightened. It is AMAZING how detailed it is....Amazing and Scary....
Shalom~Adoniah
Nice topic by the way.....MyLot is getting less boring all the time.

Dear Adoniah, Shalom, and may God bless and keep you. I would never have known the depth of depravity, other than reading this news article and your posting.
Thank you for being so aware and for spreading light and truth among us.
Scripture says in Proverbs that "the righteous are greatly concerned for truth and justice".
Shalom, dear Adoniah, the peace that only our Lord can give.

And there are alleged chiristians who insist that the US was originally a christain nation and therefore want to impose Levitical law, or at least use it to detainee what "god" finds abhorrent. Very little difference to me. All three abrahamic religions, judaism, christianity, and islam have the exact same origins. And they lead to the same thing when followed in a fundamentalist manner.
As long as we fight against any religious contamination in our constitution, there will be no problem.

Many thanks, again, laglen, for your remarkable understanding. BTW, I just added a comment to your discussion re "Untouchables" which I think also has relevance to this discussion.
IICorinthians 3:6 - "The letter of the law kills; the spirit gives life".
Through the sacrifice of our Savior, "an eye for an eye" is superceded in the New Covenent by grace.
It does not remove consequence, but it does remove cruelty.

I wonder if this story will be aired on FOX News, seeing how the second largest stock holder is the investment arm of Saudi Arabia. Don't you find it funny how watching FOX News actually supports one of the countries that uses Sharia Law? I sure do!!!!

Boundary, I am not supporting Muslims, Sharia law, or any kind of killing. Did Sean Hannity tell you on his broadcast that by watching FOX News, you are funding a country that supports Sharia Law? I am sure that he didn't!!!

It is coming our way ( Holland) already although not formally. We've got one weapon left: Geert Wilders. And of course you're now going to label me as some dullhead with no brains but it's Wilders who keeps everyone alert on problems with Muslim people, it is him who at least comes up with ideas other than the Labour Party's: "Meh! It's just an incident, tea anyone?" Sure his ideas are a bit too radical but do you know what happens if we just let them throw a frog in cold water? Exactly slowly but surely they'll take over my country and then when they have their headquarters here they will start expanding their powers beyond the borders of our small but fairly important country. When that moment has come the only thing you can possibly do is using force and inflicting damage during the battle. If we use our power now we don't need to choose for ugly solutions...
The thing is it is the Christian Democratic Party who doesn't want Wilders to support the minority parliament... I hope they correctly see what Wilder's role in the whole political show is... ensuring that all parties sees what the heck is going on and what is awaiting us if we do nothing but silently approve...

Diamania, Your insights are powerful. "Tacit approval" will surely promote the slow adaptation process that will allow the "frog" to be "cooked" and you will lose your country to such stealth and deception. In America, we say things need to be "nipped in the bud" before they can germinate. Pity we didn't act on that here, but allowed for the frog scenario.
Geert Wilders is a jewel of a man; he is brave and honorable. Pray and pray for him.
Scripture says in Proverbs: "The righteous are greatly concerned for truth and justice". Wilders has put his life on the line to serve God, your country, and a dying world. Use your power, again, to pray for his protection and to support him any way you can. Don't let him appear to be a voice in the wilderness. His approach is spot on; you can't "soft-pedal" such danger and evil with "tea and sympathy", dismiss it, and leave it to grow in darkness. Bringing it to light as Wilders is doing at least gives wise people a chance to overthrow it before it's too late.
"All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing."
"Ignoring evil leads to more evil, until evil can no longer be ignored".

Oh, get a grip.
Neither the US nor the UK are heading for anything of the sort.
Cancels our national day of prayer? Thanksgiving isn't happening this year?
