I have a difficult quest for anyone who has played a lot of video games

I have been searching for years for a video game that doesn't seem to be anywhere. I believe it was either on Atari or Nintendo (I leaning more towards Atari). This is going to sound ridiculous but the object of the game was to get ducks into a boat and safely to a party (I think) before the alligator (I believe or something else that eats ducks) eats them. It was very simple graphics and the ducks looked like the ones from Sitting Ducks. That is about all I remember but both of my sisters remember playing this game so we know it existed. If anyone can help or steer me in the right direction it would help me sleep at night. Even if you remember this game that would be awesome. Thank you.

wow dance4life, I have looked and looked and so far the only ducks games has to do with hunting them, not saving them..Can you at least remember about what year this was?

Okay, another question, from your description it looks like the game is for small children, like 4-5 years old. I found one where if you see a duck you are on the right track, the name of it is "Wetrix" If you have any more details you can give me, my son is here today and he is a gamer, but only 24, so atari is not something he'd know much about.

You won't believe this. I FOUND THE GAME!!! But I made a mistake. It's for the Commodore 64 unit (Too young to remember owning one). It's called DUCKS AHOY! I found it purely by accident. Thank you for all your help.
