Social work a bane or a boon?

There are different types of social workers and most of them belong to the category of publicity seekers. In my opinion those who take help don't always get the best deal as these so called social workers will not give an opportunity for help seekers to use their own abilities and talents to become independent. Rather than giving a fishing tackle they are provided with fish keeping these beneficiaries forever in want. Social workers should be selfless and work so that individuals use their talent to the utmost and become independent thereby making everyone self sufficient. Have you succeeded in providing a 'fishing tackle' to anyone in your life?

Let social workers do social work.If in the course of their work they are able to change the mindset of the receiver to being self sufficient,it would be an accomplishment.I do accept your view that social workers should be independent and work selflessly.I have provided aid but not the fishing tackle.

Dear friend, I hope it would be better if those social workers with ability and heart to do it better are to be kept. Moreover I feel it would a bit mess if business is mixed with social work.
