What do stars mean in myLot?

Good evening fellow MyLotters. I just want to ask, what is the meaning of the stars beside your avatar. I just noticed that old members here have stars in different color and had numbers on it. Are they in ranking? Can you please give me an idea so that I know. Thanks. :)

Hi dear,
What does the star with the number in it next to my username mean?
1. The star next to your username represents your myLot reputation.
2. You will need a user rating of 100 before you are able to receive a reputation.
3. Your myLot Reputation rating takes into account various factors including the Discussion Ratings System (DRS) and is based on a scale of 0 to 10 stars with 10 stars being the highest. to learn more about the Discussion Rating System (DRS).

Am a star 8 and have been there for over two years. stars rate your performance here and the higher your star is the better for you. As a beginner that you appear, chances are that your stars will be low, but with more participation, it will definitely rise!
