Twitter's new friend suggestion

What do you think of Twitter's new friend/follower suggester? It seems to be a big pain for no real reason. I know Facebook does it, but Facebook and Twitter are different for a reason. It just seems like a pointless feature and isn't suggesting anyone I don't already know about, just choose to not follow. So what do you think about the new feature? Has it helped you find new people to follow or do you just ignore it like a lot of other people?

I too find it pretty pointless to be honest, I use twitter to follow the people and sites that I chose to follow and I wouldn't bother with the suggestions. What attracted me to twitter in the first place was it's simplicity and the interface is nice and clean. I hope they don't start introducing other features and try to turn it into something it's not

Honestly it's kind of annoying for me. I have a lot of followers and I'm following a lot of people.. So they just recommend I follow people I already know about, famous people. If I wanted to follow them I would already be following them.. They also recommend those Twitterer's who have like 20 000 followers and they're following like 452743875 people, and update their status every 30 seconds. I never follow anyone from their suggestions list. There's rarely anyone worth following there.
