With the new renewal prices, basically if you have 4000 refs, you'd need only a 0.62 AVG to break even a day, Ultimates usually get around at minimum a 0.75 average so just try calculating how much they make a day ( probably around 4-8$ profit ) Hopefully this helps.

I would advise you not to rent referrals, especially from Neobux. I haven't ever done it but I've heard many stories of the referrals not being active, so you get no profit. Plus apparently you are likely to end up with bots as your referrals, so you won't get anything from them.

from my experience it is bad to rent referals from neobox, the avg from renting refernal is below 1.0, and it don't make a profit unless you are a golden member, it is better to search direct refernal that renting one
