It has the power to unite people in a way that little else does - s o says Nelson Mandela. I rather enjoy the current inaugural Youth Olympic Games (YOG) in Singapore as it was not plagued by doping scandals. The positiveness of YOG's initiative to inspire youth around the world to embrace the Olympic values of Excellence, Friendship & Respect by including its Culture and Education programme is a good starting point. This programme's scope includes - - contribute by looking beyond themselves so as to make a positive impact on the people and environment around them; - interact with other participants and facilitate the learning of new ideas and exploration of new cultures; - celebrate the Olympic values and the diversity of world cultures, while experiencing the power of the Olympic spirit to unite diverse cultures and peoples. So do you think Sport among the Youth is more Effective and has the power to change the world?

Yes what you are saying is absolutely right. Sport does have the power to change the world and achieve great heights to limits unknown to any one. It shows the charisma, the dedication, the interest and the hard work put in by the player to show what he/she can really do and inspire more people to do something even more greater. Youth is tomorrow. They have the zeal and enthusiasm to do anything and they take upon any challenge placed in front of them. Not only that but sports also brings people of different countries together so that everyone can participate and fight equally. Cheers!

hi raviteja, for the 2012 Olympics in London, the main focus is bringing sports to the Youth again. And I think this is a great focus as the Youth will be the leaders of tomorrow. Hopefully in time to come, the positiveness of these initiatives work wonders in the world. Thanks raviteja for replying.
