It is really very unlucky for you that you encountered 4 times of a hold up! Is it from carelessness of getting out of your cellphone in public? Or going out or going out late at night?
Anyway, you should buy again... How can your friends reach you if you don't have any cellphone? Are they going to call your land line at home, eh?

i think its not being careless. i put my cellphone in my bag. it happened morning going to work. now when im going to the office i dont bring any bad. so i felt safe wherever i go. my friends dont have a mobile contact with me. but we still chatting in YM/facebook.

Well before I could respond to the question, I would need to find out what the hold up was with the other 4 phones. I beleive everyone need a phone for emergency reasons. Even if it is a prepaid device, but according to the user needs will depend on the type of phone that you would want to get.

Oh that's scary. I guess your just in the wrong place , at the wrong time. It may be partly your fault because maybe you used your phone in public which enabled the thieves to spot you up and got you on hold. I think its a necessity to have a cell phone because its the easiest and fastest way to communicate with people. I suggest that you should buy another one again but this time, buy the cheaper phones so that if it gets stolen again, it wont be that big of a waste of money.
Best of luck

No, you shouldn't waste money like that. Are you sure that is your cell phone problem per se, or the service provider's problem? That is one problem you have to find out. You definitely won't suspect that is your phone problem after 4 times try out. You should see if there is the issue with the service provider first.
