The "Nationwide Is On Your Side" is on my list of songs that I want to splat like flies. - An online friend once called those stupid things you can't stop humming "ear worms" and ohhh, there are so many levels of right in that little description. Well, I have been afflicted with this little musical pest for four days. My mother is moaning about those same three wretched notes as I go about my day... - Do you have a advertising jingle stuck in your skull that has more or less taken over your brain-space?

it happens...many times the unwanted tune keeps revolving in your brain....and to add to the irritation if you get to hear it again and again...it sticks like a glue....and that makes more irritating

I always get that state farm jingle in my head and the worst part is, I sing it badly in my head, just like in the commercials. I also wish for things to appear, but to no avail.

You KNOW it's slapworthy when other people begin to complain (as does my poor, dear mother did last night). - Then there's that idiot with a land-line phone strapped to his waist...it's bad enough when there are people who have cell phones that live there 24/7...-type-stupid.

as soon as I read those words that jingle got stuck in my head. Now I have Nationwide stuck in my head! and it is the worst ear worm for me.

I heard a lot of resung songs such as 'say you love me'in shopping arcades. They repeated the songs and made me boring. The tunes have become so stale.

Song abuse. - That is a crime. Some of those songs hold memories to us, and we don't appreciate them pushing burgers with our heart felt memories!
