Hey Mylotters! Dang, it's so hard to find a really awesome looking wedding gift for someone in their late 20s who is getting married in October (my cousin). I wanna get her something unique and cool. So I thought about either creating her a color changing mug or a big fleece blanket. Now, I do not want to blow my budget on this one, so I have been thinking... Are there any other cool wedding gift ideas that I can get her? Well, her and her husband? What do you think would make the perfect newly wed gift? Half of me wants to buy her something the other half wants to make her something and purchase the finished product from my manufacturer. It's a really tough decision for myself since #1, last time I been to a wed- oh wait... I been to one when I was 15. But I was only invited but not the relative to the bride nor the groom. Anyways, I totally need help on this I would really love to hear your suggestions. Thanks. :D

When i give gift for weddings i always go for something that they can use like appliances or kitchen wares. Try to find out what your cousin loves to cook then you can buy her a kitchen ware that she can use for her favorite dish. Or maybe a collection of her favorite music or movies of her favorite stars. Those were just suggestions, just to give you some insights

People always say that gifts for weddings are things the couple can use while they are starting on their own. People commonly get some glass, spoon and fork, plates, and other stuff in the kitchen. When I got married, I assigned my friends to give me the appliances I am going to need. lol But among all of them, only one did her homework. lol Anyway, i think its a good idea to give them something they can use for a long time like an iron, a blender, or a toaster, or even a rice cooker is necessary.

Ahhhh.. Appliances. :) Those are some good suggestions. ^^ The thing is.. I can't seem to find a registry for her anywhere. :( But I'll see what cool unique appliances I can find that nobody has probably got her yet with a $100 - $200 budget. :D xD I could maybe get her something for the backyard Hammock?!? Throw in a customized pillow with her and her fiancées picture on it? Hmmm... Thanks for the suggestion I'll see if I can work with it. ^^

When my husband and I got married we registered at wal*mart, that way people could pick out what we want. If you want to go a different route and get her something that is different, I would say access what she likes, etc. Our wedding was themed, if her wedding is going to be themed you could get her a bit of a gag gift, maybe something themed as the wedding that is useful but is like a inside joke between you and her as well as her soon to be husband. Our wedding was in the fall and western themed, since hers is in the fall you could make or buy her something to do with leaves, maybe a candy dish or something of that sort? Something smaller, affordable and not an appliance for sure!

I often go to wedding parties, and as much as possible I want my gift as personalized and as memorable as possible. If you are that close to those who will get married, you can exert some effort by making a photo collage of their cute photos that you can collect. Pick some pictures that can somehow can tell their love story...then have it framed. i believe it will be a nice and affordable gift at the same time, your personal touch will make it even more precious.

just how much is your budget LifeGuru? you could give a CD of mixed romantic lovesongs which they can bring on their honeymoon. if you're close to your cousin, you could also make a short clip w/ your moviemaker out of the pictures of the two. or if you really want to buy them something, a his and her shirts would also be cooL. hihihi... i hope this helps... :)

My budget.. well my budget is around 100 - 200$ for a gift... then again still contemplating on it since we want to go shopping and sight seeing in Toronto. -_-" But thanks for the ideas, I was thinking about the movie maker thing but I don't have any pictures of them.. the blanket and the mug are customized photo gifts -- I forgot to mention that... Then again I might have to ask around for pictures of them but I wanna not just make a gift like movie maker or mixed CD make it look like it's from me, after all my boyfriend's/my 'best friend' coming along and I wanna throw his name in there somehow since we're attending her wedding together. :P So I kind of want to give them a "from us" kind of gift. ^^ But then again, I shall see what I can conjure up with your lovely ideas of the movie maker thing... I need lots and lots and lots of photos... o.o I don't even know the groom's name! D:
