And what if I was wrong

Everyday I end up in my room meditating
To clear my mind of everything I did
And then I practice my kata and go through all the motions to rid the unnatural behavior my body underwent as well
I always do this to cleanse both body and mind
this is to stop myself from thinking too much of all the little what ifs in life
People depend on me to do my job everyday so that they too can do their jobs
it is a big responsibility, bigger than i am
and because of this i always have to make decisions on the fly
i calculate the decision that would benefit my people the most
i minimize my risks just to make sure they will still have a source of income tomorrow and in the next couple of days. i always make sure that when i risk something i am sure of the outcome.
but in the back of my mind... i always wonder... what if i was wrong?
what if i had taken the greatest risks and although i have lots of collateral damage, i'd have givin them the brighter future they all deserve?
what if?
what if?
what would you do?

Speaking from the point of view of a person who always chose and still chooses the "risk" part, yes, it is very fun I must admit. But even I need to meditate because no matter how much risk I take, I will always have to face the truth you face each day as well. So do not despair that you think ahead. We all have gifts that become burden at times. But we all have different luxuries to spare and it all balances out in the end. Nice topic, chipster. And very well put!

hi chipesterkhan I would tell myself so far all I have done is right and those under me like me,and all is right with the world . those who employed
me seem to like what I do, so I am going to feel more confident
as self confidence will help me to combat all the what ifs in the world.
Chip do not let the what ifs and the "woulda coulda shoulas,"
ruin your great life. You are extremely intelligent from the discussion you have written and you are thoughtful and capable so rest and be confident 'that you are just fine.

Meditation is indeed very good for physical and mental health. I have been practising meditation for over ten years now. Every evening after getting back home from work, I would sit down and practise meditation for one hour. That is a very good way of relaxing and getting rid of all the stresses of the day. That's why meditation helps keeping healthy.
