I'm kind of worried for my daughter who is a straight A student and is currently on 11th grade. She's so looking forward to go to college but I don't have enough savings for her. I've heard nightmare stories about student loans. Should we go for it? Your experience and opinion will be appreciated. Thanks.

When I was in college, I had student loans as did my siblings. There actually is nothing wrong with having student loans as long as you qualify for the government funded Stafford loans. In fact, these are becoming more favorable for students because they now have income based repayment plans and some of them have loan forgiveness at a certain point as well. What you really don't want to get mixed up in is private loans of any type, those really are nasty.
