Ex's perfume brings back memories

The scent of my ex's perfume reminds me of the memories we had when we where still together, the memories that I could remember are those times that he used the perfume, and the scent was on my nose that entire day. So how could I forget that? It just brings back memories whenever I smell it again even from other person or people.

I also experienced that once. I had an ex-girlfriend and I really like the smell of her perfume. Anyway, when we broke up, I was really depressed for some time. My friends and family would console me everytime I get sad. Then one of my friends bought a perfume just like hers. And I was like, 'You're really trying to get her off my mind aren't you?'. 
Anyhow, everytime I smell her perfume, it feels like I'm falling for her all over again. 
That was like ages ago, and I've learned that we shouldn't hold on to our ex's even if we smell their perfume. My advice is associate you ex's perfume to the one you know who's also wearing it. So that you would think about another person instead of your ex.
