Its quite shocking how I recently discovered that Eminem's raps are written in epic format, I am a Literature student, and Our professor in poetry told us that, Eminem is the modern Homer, She said that all his songs were actually connected and one cannot understand one song if one has not heard the other...
It was amazing in a way that, All this time this singer/rapper[whom I never really like, can write epics.]
Have you noticed it?

It took me a while to point out which homer you were on about!
Though I do get it now. Homer illiad homer?
I didn't know eminem was so talented at writing :) Though I guess it must be from his experiences and stuff.
Though remove the swearing and etc and you have good songs that depict the harsh realities of life i guess.

the swearing actually completes the meter and rhyme, so even though he swears a lot in his songs, its part of the EPIC :D

I agree..
. Eminem can create magic with his raps. I feel that there is only one singer who can rap even the hardest verse and that too very easily.
There is no other singer who can rap like Eminem and his songs really show his hard work and dedication he put in making his album.
That's why, he is in the "Hall Of Fame" of "Rolling Stone" magazine.
If you just read his lyrics,then you wont find any rhyme or connection but when you listen to the song, those lyrics live up to say that they are actually in rhyme and connected.
This is the magic which Eminem creates in his music.

As I said I was never really a fan of Eminem, Although I liked the song "Stan" but anyway, It never really occurred to me that Eminem would write, nonetheless in that form, I didn't even know he wrote his own songs/rap. :))
Kudos to him and his epic lyrics.

I'm not his fan number 1 but I know that he is a very talented rapper and songwritter however I had never noticed that his songs were all connected. Now I'm thinking that he is a sort of genius LOL
