Hi MyLotters, Our brain is a factory of new and creative ideas, but somehow we don't let them to mature thinking like 'I'm not suitable for this','this is too big for me',etc. The holy point is that we don't actually know whether we could at all do it unless we try.But we lag the confidance even to start. Are you the feather of the same flock?Do you let your ideas pass by?Or you work hard to make it happen so that you get the holy satisfaction out of your life.Let me know. Thanks... Happy MyLotting!!

A long time ago I came up with an idea that I myself believed would change the way everyone would mop/clean their floors...I was 12 at the time. I even made a prototype of this mop that I had my mother test and use with much success. After telling everyone about my invention and being very confident in my idea I quickly met opposition in the form of negative comments from others. Now their negativity may have come from a just place or most likely a jealous place as most people dont like others doing better than them. In any case, I took these bad comments and I let it grow into a "tree of negativity and evil" This made me quickly disregard my invention as I allowed these comments to take over my emotions, thoughts and life. I strongly advise that whenever you hear a negative comment or have a negative idea yourself, you quickly realize it and turn it around by stating a positive comment. This will truly work wonders. It is the founding basis in all religions of the world.

I forgot to mention that my idea for a mop that I disregarded was later made by someone else and is now known as "The Swiffer Wet Jet". The first time I saw the commercial for the mop that I came up with and could have made money on but didnt because I listened to everyone else, I almost went crazy knowing I missed out big time. So dont let it happen to you!

Yeah, actually I had like a ton of ideas that I ignored because I have not enough confidence to make it happen. Finding ideas is easy, but trying to make it real is the hardest part. There's too many things that can distract me from it, or maybe I'm just lazy...

Maybe you've watched Deception? It's all about ideas in one's mind. You can steal ideas or even tougher job - get an idea to enter one's mind. Then you can see real effect of ideas, no passing there!

ahhhhh.... i am a feather of the same flock alright... sometimes, you get a lot of good ideas they make you all excited but when you have to act on it, it's like everything wavers off as fast as it came... you're right, it's all about a lack of confidence...

Hi yoursjannat, Yes, I have let many ideas that I have had pass by without trying to see if anything positive could have come out of them. Now I wonder if I could have had something successful if I had only had the courage to step out on faith and pursued the idea. Learning from your mistakes can be very beneficial. Now, I have ideas for my future that I am pursuing. Because I want to be a success, I will continue working on my ideas and contacting the right professionals for support and guidance. Nothing fails, but a try. If we don't try, we will never know if we would have failed or been a success.

I never let my idea pass by cause when I have something in my mind at that time, that would be the only time for me to have it. Its very impossible to have the same thing in your mind again so its better to let it out once you have it there.

I let my ideas pass by. Because I know my ability, my capacity, and my limitations toward things. I don't want that to start something I don't know anything about this. I usually try to avoid things that I know nothing. I am afraid of the consequences if I continue this. I am not a risk taker.

I rarely pass up trying something because of a lack of confidence. I'm an old guy now, so I have had to face some physical limitations. But when I was younger I tried all kinds of things, partly because I was too naive to know I couldn't do them. Sky-diving, surfing, driving cars and motorcycles very fast. You have to believe in yourself, and your ability and determination to accomplish whatever it is you are attempting. but you should, over time, also understand your limitations. I have learned I am not a very good carpenter or painter, so projects in those areas I tend to avoid.

Same here..I also am a person who lets an idea pass by. I sometime find it such a waste to not to fulfill something which i know of is very important but there are some things that are hindering me from doing or fulfilling these so i just let it be.

I always have ideas in my mind on the things I gonna do. But I seldom make them become real. Lack of confidence and motivation often make me not dare to dream and to do something. I am not a person who with external locus of control, but there are something I just not confident enough to do it.

yeah... im fresh graduate student and currently im doing my training in a firm who the manager always give us a task and divided us into a small group to generate a creative or great idea in order to help them gain profit. In my case, i always hard to voice up my idea for my group member although my idea greater than them. its because my idea sometimes is beyond my ability and i worry about if the idea is not works and the end will get bad rating result from manager. So, to avoid bad rating result, i will just let my idea pass by like that.
