When was the last time you said "Oh to hell with it, I'm getting it!" And what did you buy? I know for me the last big ticket item i treated myself to was my new laptop. My old one was on it's last leg and I was starting my new websites, I need something that was going to be reliable. So i went into my savings and brought my laptop. I love it! So what was your last big ticket item?

The last big ticket item my husband and I treated ourselves to was a 46" LED TV. After noticing that our 17 year old TV looked as though it was starting to go out, my husband and I figured it'd be a good time to say hell with it and spoil ourselves. Happy mylotting!

I bought a boat. Yeah, I know that sounds like a lot but it really wasn't. I've wanted a boat most of my life, especially since I developed my love of fishing, but never had the funds or didn't want to spend a lot of money when I did have it. I did buy an inflatable 4-person thing but it just wasn't the same, not a "real" boat. I was driving to the store one day and saw a truck with a small boat on it's bed. Both were for sale. It turned out that my next-door-neighbor was selling them. So, I called him and asked how much. When he said $400, I jumped on it. It came with an electric motor (we don't use gas motors on our lake), battery and oars. It's only a little 10 foot long boat and well-used but it's absolutely perfect for our lake. Now, I can get around to those spots I see everyone else fishing at... they've lived here longer and know where the fish hang out. I know exactly how you're feeling about getting your new laptop. Your mind flip-flops a bit. Should I spend the money? Should I keep it in savings? Do I really need this? Then, having that brand new lovely whatever it is in your hands (or in your lake) makes it all worth it.

Well it was a while ago but I think my Nikon S230 was my last splurge.. but I use it for "business" purposes- so I justified it.. I take pics and post the good ones on zazzle and create items with the photos and post them for sale. I take photos mainly of my dogs and cats and garden flowers and Then I create greeting and post cards, business cards - some of which I sold just this morning. Shirts, mugs, Mouse pads, posters, shoes, ties, binders, stationary, hats, magnest stickers etc. It's a lot of fun and my biggest source of online income.
