I believe that the only thing that one person convert to another religion is because they do not have the faith. Why else would they convert if they have strong faith. Then, when converted and unsatisfied, change faith again?

well, that's a good question in itself. Has it to do with how we are brought up? For example, Islam is one religion where from people do no convert to others that often ... agreed ??? And still I see people from Nigeria converting to Christianity after they come to the US. In some places this is due to the missionaries. A famous cricketer recently converted to Islam from Christianity. What reason do you perceive for these? People converting to other religion from a position in life where they have already experienced a lot of things and know for sure how things could change. Faith is all important. For this reason I despise "The Da Vinci Code".

Is it possibly because that when shown a new belief they actually see truth in the teachings, and realize that what they believed was false? I don't think it's a sudden thing. A change of faith can never happen suddenly. I am Christian and have never seen someone convert the first time they are told the Gospel. It is something that takes research, interpretation and understanding before you can put your faith into it. Any teaching is that way. I could sit and quote Bible verses to someone for an hour and when it's all done they would probably still sit and look at me like they have no clue what I just said, and they probably don't, but I could only hope that something I said would spark an interest, and that they would want more understanding and ask. Most people convert their religions not due to lack of faith, but by sight of reality. They read, understand and choose to believe based on what makes the most sense to them. If someone brings something before them that makes more sense than what they already believe, then they will usually convert.
