I am a person who is very much into time management., I hate being late and I want to do things in a timely manner.., When I have to meet someone in a certain place.., I am always the one who arrives there.. I prefer to wait a bit for them instead of making them wait for me.., But there are times that I put off some tasks that I need to attend to.., and I will feel guilty about it.., so I make sure that If I'm putting off something.., I still have a big time to make it before deadline.., Procrastination is a bad habit.., It's unproductive and such a waste of precious time.. Don't you think so? =)

yes, procrastination is something to be avoided if not eliminated. It will only make tasks longer to finish and will often lead to wasted and unfruitful results since more often than not, when you procrastinate, you'll cram when the needed time arrived. However, I am also guilty of being like that.

That's one of my bad traits that I hated most. I had so many wasted moments supposedly could excelled me should I learn how to fight my procrastination. I agree with you, this bad habit of mine really putting me down and wasted my lucky moments... I don't know how I could win..for me it is "easier said than done"... Mobhomeir here..

Procrastination means to put off or to avoid doing something that must be done. Sometimes it is natural and completely normal to procrastinate occasionally.

I admit that I am guilty :) I often procrastinate because it is something that will be time consuming or unpleasant that needs to be dealt with. I am working online, being a mom to a special needs child and taking classes too so I am very busy and try to fit everything into a time management plan. If it is something that is going to take longer to deal with then I would like, I try to push it aside for the time being. I still meet the deadline but I do usually wait till the last day to take my quizzes for college or do paperwork that has to be done.

oh.. so you are a pretty busy person.. i think it's understandable if you ten to procrastinate at times since you've got a lot tasks to attend to.., as long as you complete everything on time.., I guess it won't cause you any damage..=)

This is one of my biggest problem. I admit that I am the type of person who always procrastinate. But I believe that everyone procrastinates at some point in their lives. There are really times when we have to put off some things because there are other things that we have to do or we just don't want to do that particular thing at the moment. I've read somewhere that there are lots of reasons why a person procrastinates. And there are two reasons in which I perfectly belong. First is because of Fear of failure. I'm guilty with that. I often procrastinate because of fear that I won't be able to do it very well - the thing that I'm supposed to be doing and fail. Second is being a perfectionist. Its almost related with the first one. Its like because I expect so much of myself so I procrastinate because I'm scared that I might not meet my high standards. And procrastinating somehow maintains my belief that I could have excelled if I had tried harder just in case I will fail.

Hi unseenzy.., it's fine to fear failure..as long as it doesn't make you less a person you are.., but.., if we procrastinate.., because we afraid of failing.., you do realize that.., even if you put it off.., you still have to face it.., in due time.., so why not do it right away? That is what i tell to myself whenever the urge to procrastinate sets in because of fear..=)

Every day! Seriously, every day I find something that I should do, and that I want done, but I can easily find a way to put off doing it until the next day, or the day after that. And many things end up never getting done at all, or getting done only at the last possible moment. And I know I have only myself to blame.

Herro deva-annrn Procrastinate, I invented the word. I am better organized in some areas. I hate being late to an appointment. I am always early. However, tasks at home I am the queen. It can always be done tomorrow. Until the deadline is a day away, then I get in and get the task done. Sometimes it motivates me to do a better job. If there is no deadline, it may or may not get done. Is a bad habit, you bet. Can it be cured, yes. I have procrastinated as long as I can remember. No due date... Prosperous mylotting

I too am the same as you when it comes to meeting some one...however when it comes to housework - especially spring cleaning & de-cluttering, I am the BIGGEST procastinator out there...I know I have a lot of stuff & I know I need to get rid of it but I just can't seem to get around to doing it...I have a lot of stuff that I know I can sell in a garage/yard sale or even on ebay but I try not to list too many online at once as I am worried that ebay may think I am trying to scam people but that's for a different discussion.

I procrastinate absolutely all the time. I will spend far too much time on the internet, and lose track of time when I'm on social networking websites. I tend to wake up in the morning and tell myself that I will post a certain number of times on this website in order to earn a little extra cash, but I will always find something else to do instead, meaning that I don't normally post all that much at all!

I try my hardest not to procrastinate but sometimes I find I do. When I do it always results in having waited too late.

I try not to make procrastination a habit. i used to do this often in school with homework. Now i only do this when there is a chore or task that i am absolutely dreading. The more i put it off, the more i come to dread it. i don't do as good a job at something, if i procrastinate too long.

I agree, procrastination is a terrible habit... And yet I find myself doing it all the time, particularly when it comes to schoolwork. Usually I only put things off for a few hours, but still, it's terrible to have something hanging over my head like that. I'm working on getting out of that habit, though... I used to put things off for days!

Depending on the situation or an occasion, I do procrastinate. When a matter is very important and needs to be attended to immediately, I make efforts to avoid tardiness. But if it's something like meeting friends to watch movies or go shopping, I tend to slow down a bit. I'm sure my friends do the same anyway :-D

I always like to be on time. So I'm good at that, unless an emergencty makes me late. As far as some other things sometimes I put them off. Like say big project I have to do around the home I start them late sometimes. I know they need to get done but its a lot of work. In the future I will work on this more.
