Is life a destiny or a free will?

Ive been always thinking if life is destiny or free will.Some of us thinks that life is a destiny when something goes wrong or when we are down we ask god for hel or sometimes we even blame god for what is happening to us.So is life a free will which means that we decide and we choose what is good and right for us or simple we just follow what is for us.
If we choose destiny it means you believe that somethings are meant for each other that whatever you do we are controlled by destiny all we have to do is follow.
But if we choose to free will it means we need to work on it we need to strive for it because we know where we wanted to be and therefore we will work for it.
So guys if you believe your life is a destiny or free will just put all your comments below and we will discuss about it.

It is and always has been free will. We make choices in our lives and then we either benefit or the consequences for our choice. I mean when you go to an ice cream store, isn't it your choice on the flavor you get? And if you have a friend who has this wild idea to do something illegal, don't you make that choice on whether or not to get involved?
