Do you like collecting art works ?

When I travel to different countries in different parts of the world, I get so impressed with the art works of different cultures. I often buy art works as souveniers and as decorations in my house, sculptures, paintings, ceremic-wares, lacquer-wares, and so on. I bring back as presents for my coleagues at my office too. Do you like collecting art works ?

I don't buy souvenirs no matter how much I find it to be interesting since deep inside my mind I would ask: "Where in my room will I put this stuff?" So instead, I would collect something else that I would only find in the country I'm currently at like the food wrappers, the soft drink labels, flowers and leaves, coins and bills, menus of restaurants, and so on. I would only collect small flat items as I would then scan them into my laptop and add them to my digital scrapbook along with the pictures I've taken of the food I've eaten, the scenery, the hotel room, and all the other things that I could not bring home with me.

Oh, that's interesting too. That makes a lot of sense. So, you could still have a nice collection of a variety of things that brings back all the beautiful and pleasant memories of the places you have been to. Have you traveled very extensively ?

How wonderful that you get to travel and that you collect art for your home along your way! I collect art, sort of, as I try to buy something from anyone I know online who creates artwork of their own. I have many items throughout my home from friends all over the country and a few from other countries. It gives me a good feeling when I pass by the item and think of the friend from whence it came.

That sounds wonderful ! Yes, you have an excellent art gallery right at home, national and international ! That must be a very colorful and pleasant surrounding. I like artworks. So, I should make a mini gallery in my house too, like you have.

I love collecting artwork but at this time I don't have any originals because I don't have a permanent living situation but I'm hoping in the future to own a lot of artwork. I love going to galleries and hope to be around artwork for the rest of my life.

Artworks are really inspiring, indeed. Some of them can be very expensive too. Yes, I love going to galleries too, and that is one of my favorite ways of spending my spare time when visiting countries in different parts of the world.
