How do you control a sweet tooth?

What ways do you use to control your sweet tooth? I'm addicted to sweets and have sweet cravings every day. Sometimes I can beat them, sometimes I can't. I don't want to end up with diabetes and high blood pressure. I've heard that sweets were just as addictive as drugs and alcohol. If you were a sugar junkie and you found a way to beat those cravings, what methods did you use?

Hi, goldfngz. I would eat anything sweet that is sugar free. I would also drink a breakfast shake that is high in protein. This is very sweet too. This is what I would mostly do to keep from eating high amounts of sugar.

I know what it's like to have sweet cravings all of the time. I crave chocolate and peach cobbler nearly everyday, but I don't act on it every time though. My husband bought me some sugar free cookies and chocolate from the grocery store about a few weeks ago, and it tasted as good as sugary sweets. I don't know what was in it that made it taste sweet, but I was amazed. I was always hesitant of buying sugar free stuff because I thought all of it taste like crap, but I was wrong.
