Is Hausernet legitimate?

I just heard about this site in an article on gather. I was just wondering if it is legitimate, because it says they need agents in my area, but they need my social security number for taxes. Should I still join? I don't want to give them the number if the site is a scam. If you are a member, please let me know what you think of the site.

I never heard if it. Any site that asks for a social security is one I avoid. I feel it's dangerous to give it out on the internet, but you do what you think is best.
