I think the first thing i have learned to cook or rather prepare is "Tea". Yes it is Tea, I still remember distinctly mother's instruction as to what we would need to do to make it. I guess it also falls under cooking, The next thing was rice where my mother helped me in gauging the right portion of rice and water and how to boil it. It was not made in the cooker. That day and now, Its been a pleasure cooking and I still love to keep experimenting with my cooking skills, I think I love to serve my family.

Eggs! All kinds of eggs. I think. Sunny side up, scrambled, hard boiled, etc. Then I moved "up" to poached, deviled, over easy... I think my first "dish" was breakfast. Eggs, pancakes, bacon, badly-made potatoes. Hmm. I think maybe I was nine years old and I was hungry.

I've been thinking of the answer to this question for quite a while. Never thought of this. HA..HA.. it maybe instant noodles or hard boiled eggs or fried eggs? I don't know...I had been 'cooking' this for myself until I learned cooking traditional Chinese dishes in domestic science at high school. I forget what's the first dish but I can still remember how to make 'Soya Sauce Chicken' learned at high school.

aside from the usual like fried egg, fried hotdogs and instant noodles, first dish was ADOBO , its a local dish here in our country made with soy sauce, vinegar, some garlic and ground pepper and bay leaf. You can add hard boiled egg and combined chicken and pork :)
