It is my firm belief there are forces at work against this country. I don't believe these forces are all political in nature either. I believe the newest controversy over the ground zero Mosque was designed to get people to willing hand over their freedom of religion. Anyone who is Christian should know that the loss of freedom of religion will be the beginning of the end of days and that the beast will assume control. Just as in Daniels day and as it says in revelations you will be forced to worship or die. As long as we have freedom of religion that will never happen. But you can bet if you hand over your freedom and the courts step in to do something about the mosque at ground zero that it will not be the end of government telling people how and where to worship. So if you say you are Christian than the last thing you should do is ask for the government to step in and stop the mosque because than you are asking for the beast to take control over your freedom of worship.

The site in question is two blocks away, farther away than the souvenir stands, Burger King and a number of bars and strip clubs, so I am not sure how well the sanctity of Ground Zero has been preserved to start with. As for the Mosque, I think it takes a lot of courage to face the flak the builders have faced up to now and which they are likely to face for years to come; this opposition does not negate their right to rent or buy a space where they are and to build a place of worship.
Would you mind elaborating on some of the problems Christian groups have had in building near the site as well? What were the 'different' reasons given for denial(s)?

Everybody should have his/her own choice, decision and freedom of choice. Religious people cannot support violence.
Read what President Obama said about this ??
The Ground Zero Mosque, what it will mean for America
Obama on the Mosque 8-14-2010
"As a citizen, and as president, I believe that Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as everyone else in this country, that includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in lower Manhattan, in accordance with local laws and ordinances," he said. "This is America, and our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakable."
There are lot of mosque in the USA in following states
ALASKA /// ARIZONA // ALABAMA // CALIFORNIA // CONNECTICUT // COLORADO // FLORIDA // GEORGIA // ILLINOIS // INDIANA // LOUISIANA // MICHIGAN // MINNESOTA // MARYLAND // MISSISSIPPI // MISSOURI // MASSACHUSETTS // NORTH CAROLINA // NEVADA // NEW JERSEY // NEW MEXICO // NEW YORK //OHIO // OREGON // PENNSYLVANIA // TEXAS // WISCONSIN

I can see trouble either way. First, if we find a way to keep them from building, it will, as you say, open the door to regulating religion by the government - not that they don't do it now, but it will be stronger. BUT... if we don't, we will open the door to a much stronger Muslim presence in our nation and that's not good for Christianity or any other religion, because Muslims want to take over by instating their laws in our land. Either way, we can lose badly.

They are already regulating where Synagogues are allowed to function. They use the excuse that it raises crime in an area. We are different, so we attract problems. We are required to keep everything locked at all times even when we are having services. We have to have folks at the door to let people in for services, so at least one person misses religious services becauses the door has to be watched at all times because it is locked. We have a large fence that goes all the way around the sides and back of the Synagogue because we used to have the school in the building too. In order to maintain the school and our insurance, we were required to put up this huge fence. We always had a chainlink fence for the safety of the children. We had an incident with some skin heads and instead of trying to catch them we were told to upgrade our security because it was our fault for being different.
Our High Holy Days start next week...it is a scary time for us. We have to have armed guards inside and outside of the Temple every day. Not in the Sanctuary, but in the building. Everyone has to have a ticket to get in. Even the Greek Orthodox Church next door helps us with security. We are a small Synagogue. This is a big expense. Any other religion can just open their doors and let anyone in with no fears...and they do not have the police and insurance companies telling them if they do not keep the doors locked at all times they will have to close them forever...It is their own fault because they are different...Imagine if they said that to a Mosque.....

What is freedom actually. Freedom is to be free, and obviously not from responsibilities and duties.
Yes freedom means you have rights but duties also. Freedom comes with additional responsibilities. Freedom for religion does not mean that you start creating problem and issues for other religion as this is breaching their freedom. So this is good for persons from each religion to respect other religions also and they could help in peace.
