What I am talking about is I have had a heel problem in my left heel called phanter fasciitas. I have had it almost 9 years. It come and goes. Tried pills, they didn't work. Have tried shots. If this shot doesn't work I will have to have surgery! I have put up with way to much pain over the years! I am over weight and I stand on my feet all day at work. That doesn't help! So right now I don't know how long I would be off from work, what the surgery is all about and anything I didn't remember! I need to start living more and getting this foot problem fixed will be a good start!

I got diagnosed with this earlier in the year, and the doctor gave me exercises to do. It isn't totally gone, but they have helped. The doc also recommended orthotics, though I haven't gotten them, I just wear shoes with good arch support. Have you tried either of those?

I have tried and do the exercises. They help but not alot. I got orthotics like 12 years ago. I was born with flat feet and that was the reason I got them. They help but not alot for my heel problem. It doesn't matter what type of shoes I wear,I wear mostly sneakers, they really don't help either. I want to do surgery some day because I am sick of this problem! I need to lose weight,my weight is probaly most of the couse of this problem, and I want to walk! I can't do alot of it with this heel pain! I have had it!

"Man Up" and go ask a doctor you trust. It is time for you to see what is happening and what you can do about it. Good Luck . And let us know how it goes.

I will "Man Up" as you said and ask a doctor I trust! I can tell you he is a foot doctor and I have tried other foot doctors and he is the best so far. I still can look into more doctors! Which I will!

I didn't know there was surgery they could do for that - none of my foot guys have said anything, and I've been suffering for 20 years - granted, I don't work on my feet so its less of an issue, but some days it is really painful to even walk a little...

Yes they can do surgery! I have a pamphet on foot surgeries! For my heel pain they can use laser technology to do something with the tendon. Don't know alot about it except I know some pro athletics have had the treatment. I would rather have a laser treatment. I am not thrilled of having surgery done!

If I do have surgery I will let everyone know. Right now my heel has been feeling better. During the week it was really painful! It looks like the shoot isn't working! This will be my last resort! I am so sick of this!
