Why haven't you earned enough money on the internet to be millionaire or rich? Pretty simple question but I know for sure this will be a discussion in which we can learn a lot from each other. Please share the reason you aren't rich yet.

I'm a student - "I'd rather be focusing on my studies" still seems like a valid excuse.

There's no need to study if you're rich. So why aren't you rich?

I wouldn't say that's true. You might be rich but rich doesn't last forever. Especially if you don't know how to manage your money so studying is always a good back-up plan just in case.

I think it's a combination of many things: - i wasn't born rich - I spend too much - I don't spend wisely - I have no investments that yield high returns in a short period of time.

5 dollar in Kooday have yielded me 450 dollars and counting. ;-) - I wasn't born rich either. - I am frugal. - I spend wisely. - I don't have the money for high yield investments either. :P

I have yet to find a way to earn enough money off the internet to even make a decent living let alone become rich. I work full time and have other obligations and just don't have the time to sit here on the computer for hours and hours at a time. I don't have enough cash to invest in sites that might possibly earn me more but also could be scams. So tell us, Diamania, are you rich from working on the internet yet? If not, why not? And if you are, how in the heck did you do it?

hmm I guess I have not found the right program and or I am not that lucky.Since you can work hard and still not be rich so its not just working hard but working smart with some luck.Since one example is if you know what key words to buy in Kooday to make lots you could be rich fast.

Because I did not start making money online or saving early enough is the answer in my case. If I had been doing it for several years already, I am sure my results would be pretty impressive by now, but up until a few months ago, I was not earning online, and I only started a serious savings plan a few years ago as well. But since I am still young, better late than never as they say! :)

Hmm. I sure have not earned enough. I might have if I had studied beyond Higher Diploma, but then again I might have been an unemployed graduate for years. I have a mortgage too, which does not help. I was scammed by a Time Share/ Holiday provider in 2005, and cannot get our money back. We did research this for 2 years before committing. What I earn on line goes to my Paypal account so that I can buy model kits. Some to build now, and some as something to keep me occupied when I retire.

I think the biggest problem I have about "getting rich" is getting rich in a way not resulting in major media exposure, and not getting rich by taking major advantage of others. In a capitalistic society(at least for me being as I am from the US.) this makes things quite hard. The other thing is before an individual gets rich they should plan on learning how to spend their money properly and wisely. Otherwise they will just blow it all and be in the same situation they were to begin with. The other thing is the case of getting rich in a non-blackhat kind of way but I suppose that kind of goes along the lines of, "taking advantage of others" if you're doing black-hat methods. The big thing which I mentioned already is getting money and actually managing to keep it without burning through it by spending it on ridiculous things. The other thing is if one was to become rich it would be a bad idea to mention it on the internet. So if you were to ever become rich, don't go bragging about it on the internet.

Oh I was actually planning on screaming it all over the internet. Diamania is rich, hooray. But you're right I might better not do it before the tax bureau comes knocking on the door demanding me to fill out a few forms resulting in me giving 60% of my money to the government who will only spend it on complete nonsensical things. :D

I'd not only keep on the down-low but also on my bank account somewhere in the Bahahahahamas. Tax bureau can do what they want. They're not going to get anything.

My eccuse is that I tend to spend more money that I make & I have made poor choices in the past...I know I need to work more to rectify the situation & try not to spend as much.

I'm not that bad...I don't borrow money off people to get by, I just deal with it...as long as I have food on the table for my daughter, I am happy...i just need to learn how to budget & stick to it.

You're not the only one. I know someone who doesn't do anything but spending too much and being in the red big time! Then she comes complaining if she can borrow money, while she and her man get retirement and social security, much more money than we have.

diamania I am not rich on the internet as I am not a fool to be taken in by get rich quick scams and pyramid things, or multi level marketing. I would rather be honest and not rich, than a scoundrel cheating others so she can make dishonest money. the only way anyone is going to get rich is to work and not on the scammmy intenet. Are you rich?

Yep. I am a Kooday-o-naire and share-holder-o-naire in Greenwinnetworks. And I happen to get some Dollar-o-naire from Squidoo and I will soon restart my professional blog again. But no... I am not a millionaire. But honestly, I am aiming to become one.

I think, to earn a lot of money on the internet, you have to be able to put in a lot of time and effort to what you're doing. I can currently earn around $6 per month when I DON'T do any work at all during that month to earn any money. When I DO work, I can earn anything between $500-$1000 per month. Every single time I publish another good article, or get another referral from my promotions, I know that I will be able to earn a little more every month without doing any more work. I would like to get to the stage where I am earning $100 per month without having to put in any work. Once I've got to that level, I will be able to put the time that I need to into my business, and then hopefully my riches will take off from there!

It's not so much about putting an awful lot of time into working online. Instead it's more about having a plan and working efficiently. You could churn out web copy that took you 5 hours but isn't at all putting your product in lime light. Or you could take 2 hours reading a book and churn out web copy that does accentuate your product's benefits and does increase your sales. It's all about having the skills, the plan and indeed some time.

I am not that rich is because I don't have enough skills that those rich have. I am not rich because my parents are not. I am not rich because I don't know how to start it. I am not rich because it my destiny. I am not rich because I am satisfied with what I have. I am not rich because I am a good person so God doesn't allow me to be because Money is the cause of all evil. Those are things that coming in my mind.

In answer to your question as to why, life circumstances for me. Although I work hard enough to achieve for some reason I suppose it has been the time for me. I certainly work hard it day by day with the hopes that I could at least make month to month. I certainly have the drive and intelligence but for some reason I have not achieved my niche yet. Since month to month debt are so high it way to difficult to rely on one thing when the creditors call I simply can't say you will have to wait until I am rich some day.

I have not made my riches on the internet either and don't think too many people have. Especially not people that are members of mylot!! We are just looking to earn a few extra dollars and the people who made it rich are looking to make a few extra millions of dollars. A person can ask the same question offline. Why have some people made millions of dollars in business and others haven't made it. I think in real life it's mostly called education. If you have an education and a degree you are a professional and the professionals are the ones that are rich. So if you want to make millions I think you need to go to school and get a degree because you will never make it online, posting in mylot. Cheers, Chris

Errr, for me maybe because I don't really make it my #1 priority in life to be uber rich. Just contented being an average Joe just like the rest. Being able to do my own thing and concentrate on good things in life. Positive vibes.

You can also become rich as to experiences and knowledge. Also very valuable. When you have enough money to live properly, it is even more valuable than a swimming pool full of coins.

actually we dont know how to be rich through online, because the earning are few cents per day, wil it make u to be rich?? hehe.. most of the ppls dont know, if everyone knows then everyone wil be a millionaire..

now a day people want to be rich but they wont ready to work, they need immediate money at instantly so that they went to wrong way to earn money and spend their own needs, now a day these thought are dominated the society.
@diamania (7011)
• Netherlands
28 Aug 10
True. It's all about instant satiation of money needs. That's why those who work hard and efficiently - Yes there is a difference, you can work hard trying to cut a tree with a knife or you can use a chain saw which is more effective but still hard work- will always pull the longer end of a stick. People like Bill Gates haven't become rich because they had a huge craving for money. He worked hard, efficient and filled a gap in the market.
