Arsenal beat Blackburn Rovers by 2-1 at Ewood park on Saturday. The Home Team had created lots of pressure on Arsenal at the beginning but Arsenal took the lead on 19th minutes by the super strike by Theo Walcott (it is his 4th goal in EPL) from the pass of Van Persie. But Blackburn reacted very quickly and scored equalizer on 26th minute by Mame Diouf. The match was 1-1 at half time. But Arsenal took the lead on 51st minutes again by Arshavin and hold the lead when the final whistle blew. Arsenal is now at 7 points from 3 matches and playing superbly still in this season without lots of promising players.

My 14 year old son was actually at this match. We live in Lancaster and he is a season ticket holder for Blackburn, although he is actualy a very strong Arsenal fan, so he had mixed feelings at the match yesterday!! He is very impressed with Mame Diouf who got a hat trick last week!

Theo Walcott has made a roaring start to the season. I think he has responded to Capello's snub in the right possible manner. 4 goals in two matches is really something that I hope will ignite the Arsenal's season. I think this was really a coming off age match for Arsenal. In the past seasons they would have either lost or drawn this match, but this season at least they have won this one match. Let's see if they can keep doing the same throughout the season. Cheers! Ram

I am an Arsenal supporter and do not like to be seen as a dampener. Arsenal always started the season with fire only to falter from March onwards. I hope we are not turning in another such season again. Nonetheless, this is a good result against one of their bogey team. While they lost, I think Blackburn gave Arsenal a very good fight. Up next is the international break before they welcome another bogey team, Bolton.
