What should be done initially to make the website search engine friendly
Yes I am a developer but still not know many things about SEO. What are the basic things which I should keep in mind while designing website. As I think they must be designed in a fashion which could be indexed by search engine better.

add meta tags, get ride of useless code and increase the load time time of your site. theses are the key ways to make search egines like you site. also instead of use pictures of words use the actual word and when you do you pictures add tags to them saying what they are.
