Do we come from apes?

There are many reports and documentaries which show us how humans originated.
In Christianity, we come from Adam and Eve.
From scientific point of view, we are from ape who generally became more clever over the time. We starting standing because we need to get food from the trees. Interesting isn't it?
Sometimes I really wonder where do we come from? What do you think you come from? Or share any stories you heard about how we even exist in this world!

Hi dream, I don't believe the Adam and Eve story or any of the other similar stories about creation, all such stories are simply myths handed down by word of mouth for thousands of years. Some say that only leaves the theory of evolution, but I disagree. There is also the possibility that we came from the stars, or in other words we are the offspring of visitors from space who came here millions of years ago. Nothing has to rule out the possibility of God, in fact I believe that a spark of divinity resides in everyone of us. Blessings.

Thank you for your response and I find it very interesting.
Yes, there is a possibility that we came from some stars, or some planets. We don't know for sure how we came about as scientists can't be 100% sure as well..
As a last note, I really like your thinking! :)

Anatomically modern man did not evolve from apes. Apes and man split from a common ancestor and have evolved separately.

Hmm..this may be true but I heard a different a thing . Humans came from Chimpanzees and so did monkeys . Monkeys and humans do not have any direct connection which some people think . And the change occured several million years ago . Just think . We may not be the most superior beings . In future , even may evolute to a superior specie . You never know ! Well regarding that apes issue , that may be true !

The whole issue is because the change occurred millions and millions of years ago which is why we don't know know for sure how humans come about!
It's interesting to hear that we may not be the most superior beings, but evolute to a superior species.
I personally go along with the idea better that we are from the apes. Though I can't imagine myself to be one!
