If black box are the only things that survive in plan crash, why don't they make whole airplane out of the same material that they make black box out of?

the black box is made of very heavy material, but not just that, it is also made up of many layers with air between them, as this also helps protect the things inside. Also, where it is kept in the plane protects it slightly too. If the whole plane was made of the same material and theoretically could take off (which it wouldn't be able to anyway as it would be way too heavy, it'd need 500 propellors and engines!), if it did crash, the liklihood of survival would still be slim and on direct impact, the black box would still get a lot of damage, only the items inside may still be in tact...but this isnt to say the people inside the plane would be safe...they'll have been thrown around the plane, and alsp their bodies put through a lot of stress and strain as they hit the water or floor or whatever they hit, and will likely die anyway. It is way too expensive and too unfeasable to be able to make the plane from the material!

I think black boxes are made of materials too heavy for the plane to take flight.
