email fraudsters

Despite the advance is technology, one wonders if at all anything to be done to stop the mails one receives announcing that you are a winner in some or the other lottery (some of the names include yahoo/msn, coco-cola intl, toyota etc). I have read news reports on such scams where some were losing money. Can any one suggest something?

Well through i even get European lottery and asking for my account details and pin number. This is really tactics to get money from people.
