Had my car washed the other day. It's now pouring here. Was able to get away with having a clean car for about 5 days which is a long time in the midwest. Don't you just hate it when you get your car washed, it looks great and it rains?

It's a good thing I don't ever have my car washed. lol I know that would be what I would do. I would pick the one day of the week where it would rain, and my effort for a clean car would be lost. : ) So I let nature wash my vehicle. However, I've seen some people with cars where you can tell they've been riding over muddy roads or something. I mean the mud is from the wheels to the windshield. If my car ever got like that, I would definitely go to the car wash instead of waiting for nature to do it.

Suppose to storm here today so I did get away with a clean car for almost a week. I could stay home the next 2 days and keep my car in the garage but that's no fun! I have seen some of those cars and trucks too that were so dirty don't know how the driver could see where he/she was going. Thanks for responding.

Well this morning I water my strawberries and flowers and now this afternoon it is clouding up like it may start raining.

It seems like that happens to me all the time! Or I go out to the camper which is on a gravel road and it looks like I haven't washed it in a year! Inside the campgrounds however the roads are oiled to keep the dust down. It's the county roads that are a killer.

My car seems to attract the rain..lol Right now it's safe and in the garage so it will stay dry for awhile. Have to leave later so it will get all messed up. I know what those county roads are like. Thanks for responding.

Sadly, I haven't had $ to get it washed much in the last couple of years. Wish we had an outside hose or a hose that could attach to a kitchen sink, esp. today, it's soooo hot out.

Now the sun is out here. So it's probably terrible humid out there. Dust and then rain makes a mess on my car. I might have beaten the rain today since my car is still in the garage. Thanks for responding.

Snoopy Dance - Here's me doing the Snoopy Happy Dance. Okay, it's Snoopy doing it but this is what I feel like when I'm really, REALLY happy!
You know, you just reminded me of why we've had such a dry summer here: I haven't washed my car! We've had MAYBE a tiny bit over an inch of rain all summer long. This is the driest summer I can remember. I've had thoughts of hiring a rainmaker or even having the clouds seeded with whatever it is that makes them rain but I haven't once thought of washing my car. I've been too concerned about wasting water since we have a well. I think I'm going to go out now and wash it. That'll guarantee rain! So, in answer to your question, yes, normally I hate it when it rains right after washing the car but, right now, I'll do a happy dance if it rains.

My great grandmother was full blooded Cherokee indian so maybe I need to find you and do a rain dance in your front yard. Guess I should be happy the car stayed clean for a few days. Dry here too this past month. We need the rain. Have a good day, carolbee
