Hi everyone!! I have a dog named 'MAX' n he's really cool. But he's deaf, he can only loud sounds, other than that he doesn't hear. But he's really intelligent, he responds to the signs that i make with my hands such as sit, come here, no, etc.. He loves the 'belly rub'!!!!

Hi footprints55, I have 3 dogs and it's sad to know that Max had gone deaf. Is this natural or was it because of old age? Is that Max? He's so cute!!!

Its natural cuz we took him 2 the vet and the vet said his ears seem to be fine, no infections... Thats Max's brother jesse :), max looks almost like him, only bigger...

How did you come up with that username? Your dog must be fun to have but he'd be in danger if he gets on the streets. I think every dog loves their belly rubbed, it's like a common thing for them.

By the way Max is quite safe cuz i don't live in a bz town; where i live, u'd think it a jungle.. *^__^*

Mine was just random. I was trying to come up with a username for YouTube and this is what it was and I deleted my account there and now I'm here still using the same username.

i had a dog named Ka'vik (ka-veek) and he went deaf when he turned about 12. I almost didn't notice... my clues were that when we went walking (without leashes) he always used to be a house or two in front of me- after he lost his hearing he stayed much closer and always kept looking back to make sure I was behind him. In fact if I decided I had walked far enough I would stop call my other dog TK and we would wait. When he looked back I would give him the come signal and he would turn around and come back. Him and TK were always very attentive which is why I didn't need leashes with them.. I usually brought them with me just in case.. but I wore them around my neck. :-)

There are more pets with handicaps than you think. Being deaf, blind or poor sight sore or bad joints. People think their pets are just stupid or don't want to learn. Not so , with a little time and compassion they can find out alot of things. REMEMBER ALWAYS LUV/ CARE/ TRAIN YOUR DOG OR PET, THEY WILL ALWAYS LUV U..

wow! your dog's cool! it's good that you don't have to worry about the cars in your neighborhood. i have a friend who had a dog like Max, he was a Dalmatian and totally deaf. one time, we were suppose to go to the beach and was canceled because we couldn't find their dog. guess what he was just under the car sleeping! sadly, he got out and was hit by a car. :(
