"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." We try our best to raise our children in God's word. This is not always easy as we have to lead by example (which I sometimes do a horrible job at!) I always find it encouraging to read a few scriptures on parenting to get me motivated again on the right path! How about you? Do you use the Bible as a parentin tool as well?

I think that the bible is one of the best parental tools that there are that is available to Christian parents. I know that it is a very trying thing to be a parent and I know that there are plenty of times that I would not have done the right thing if I didn't have the bible as a tool to help me through those trying times. I think that you would honestly be hard pressed to find a Christian parent that doesn't use the bible as a parental tool in some way, shape or form.

Yes, I use the Bible as parenting tool because all the best parenting guidelines are written in there. I know it is tough to be a Parent because our hearts are the ones that break first whenever our children do some stuff that will get them into trouble, still we have to decide on what actions to implement. It is comforting to always turn to the Scriptures for guidance because we know it always cater to both our well-beings and our kids'. Whenever we use the Bible as parenting tool, we are confident that we are doing the right thing. It is God's word after all.

Indeed. There is no better way to raise up our children but by reading along the lines from the bible. Proverbs 22:6 is the best verse when raising a child. It best describes how every child should be raised up. Without gearing towards their growth from when they are younger, the child will never gear towards wrong things. My parents raised me reminding me of this verse thus here I am gearing towards that as well since everything went well with my childhood.

Teaching your children to be "the hands of God" is a very uplifting and inspiring thing. I have two stepsons that have grown into amazing young men by being active members of their church youth group. We often take time to volunteer and work together to improve the world around us. Getting your children involved in such a group will help you become a better parent also as you will be guided to help and serve along with them. Best of luck to you. Raising kids now adays is not an easy task. Look to the Lord anytime you need a little guidance and He will show you the way.
