Do you heard the news about former Bank of American call center employee stole about 17 million customers credit card numbers, name, addresses, date of birth, tax ID, and telephone passwords? This data breach case really concern about millions of customers who has account with bank of America. Although they agree to settle this case, provide free credit monitoring service up for number of years, and if the money was stolen, they will compensate up to $50,000; you still have to place an alert on all your three credit bureaus, or freeze your credit for safety sake.
On news press, Bank of American obviously not admit their wrongdoing, but the question is, why would they agree to settle this case then? It meant that they doing something wrong right?

That is a big story! Nothing is safe today. Technology is wonderful and can be used to make like easier but it can also be used to harm people, as is the case here. I guess, it's part of the risk that we have to live with. We want the convenience and the speed but the harm that can be done can also be quick. Thanks for letting us know!

No problem, just in case you with hit with some unknown charges from nowhere, it will be better if you place an alert or freeze your credit with the bureaus.
