I'm in a wedding in two months and the bride told us that she wants us to have chocolate brown peep toe shoes. I never thought this would be a hard thing to find, but it looks like it might be. Where do you think is the best place to go to for wedding shoes?

I would check out Ebay, they have everything, literally, so they are bound to have this as well. And you might even find them for a great price, so it is worth a try!

I haven't even thought about ebay. Thanks! They do have practically everything you can imagine.

I think it depends on the place where you live. I am from the Philippines and there arent any stores here that sell wedding stuff but if you know where to go, you will be able to find them.

There's no stores in the Philippines to buy wedding stuff? Interesting. I guess I just take having bridal stores everywhere for granted. How do you get things like dresses, shoes, etc. then?

If you know the other lady attendants you can ask if they've found any, or even if you don't you can ask the bride whether she knows if the other attendants have found any as you've had no luck. You can also go to a basic shoe store that sells all types of shoes and describe the one you're looking for, they might have a peep toe shoe in white displayed, but could order you one in chocolate brown before the wedding. If all else fails and you just can't find the shoe, you can talk to the bride and see if maybe you can't get a black shoe instead, or something as close to the chocolate brown as you can. After all the bride can't be upset if it's just not possible to find the shoe. Online is always an option but depending on where you live the shipping may be too expensive, or the company may just not ship to you.

Thanks for the advice. I might have to call the bride but I've been avoiding that option because she's been really stressed about the wedding already- so many people telling her what to do and how to do it. But I might have to bother her about this problem as well. I've bought other things online but not shoes. Maybe I can try that as well.

I suppose it depends on your type of budget for purchasing these future wedding shoes. I don't have the best advice for you since my sister just had her wedding, but I just used these black sandal shoes that we've traded off and on for years. She didn't really care for the style, just the fact that they need to be black. A good shoe store is DSW, they have locations scattered throughout. There prices can be moderate to somewhat expensive, but they have cute shoes on clearance often. Payless Shoes is worth a shot as well, they have some shoes that you can buy that you can have dyed. At least they did years ago, I don't know if they still do. It is worth a try and than can be cheaper. Only problem is that I think they were basic high heels, no peep toe shoes. Either way best of luck to you in your search!

I've been a bridesmaid three other times and this is the first time the bride has been this specific about shoes- something barely anyone is every going to see. Oh well. DSW? That's a good suggestion. So is Payless since they have shoes you can dye. I'm gonna have to check them out this week. Thanks for the advice.
