How lost would you be without your computer?

I know that if I didn't have my computer, I wouldn't be able to do very much with my life. I do absolutely everything on here- I make money, order food, pay bills, buy clothes and presents for my family, and lots more things besides that. If I didn't have my computer, it would make life much harder for me. Do you feel as though you would be able to cope without your computer, or would you be as lost as I feel that I would be?

I study Computer Science, which I think already explains a lot. Besides from academics, I also do desktop publishing and graphic design, which are anchored on computer softwares. It is obvious that life without my own laptop would be very hard although I know a classmate who survived the academe without having one. In terms of entertainment alone, I guess I can live without my laptop.

Did your classmate use a lot of library computers and the suchlike? I can't imagine going through a computer science course without owning a computer, how did he do his coursework! I'm gearing up to do a computer science course next month, I'm planning on buying another machine to help me out with it, I couldn't take relying on public computers!

If I was to lose the opportunity to work with my computer, I really believe that I would become completely depressed. Much like you, I use my computer for the majority of the tasks that I need to accomplish in my life. I use the computer to pay our bills and keep up with our checking account, I also use the computer for viewing all of the pictures that I take of my children and preserving those paired with stories for them to enjoy when they are older. Finally, I do use the computer to make money online.

years ago i hardly knew anything about computers and the internet. Now computers are so much a part of our daily. You just don't know how much you will miss something until it is gone. I'm sure i could adjust to life without a computer, but it would not be an easy task. i have come to count on my computer a great deal.

I don't know what I would do without my computer. I am so used to it. My computer is way more important to me than the tv, radio or any other entertainments. That's the word, I would feel lost. More so, it's not just the computer, it's mainly the connection to the internet. We are living now in an internet world. I agree with you completely. Take care.

Yes I would be lost without my computer, and I am like you I do everything on computer and pay my bills and shop. I have tried to cut back a bit from the computer as I would sit there for hours and hours and I really needed to get out and about a bit more, so I now have a bit more of a balanced lifestyle.

I never thought I would feel like this but I would really miss the old Beast. I only had a computer for 2 plus years and didn't know anything about them before. Now I'm learning a lot and I would be lost without it. I turn it on before I even make coffee in the morning...but I'm never on it for longer than an hour or so then I do other stuff and come back later on

I would be considering that I have always been using the computer ever since I was younger. My mom used to work for a brand of computer and have always gotten the most recent stuff for computer and all. So I would definitely consider myself one who would get lost without a computer with me.

I would feel really upset without the computer. I make money online, keep in touch with friends and family, order food, do shopping and listen to music. It is definitely a way of life once you have learned the computer and how to use it. Of course a person also has to do maintenance on the computer quite often to make sure it stays up and running well. There was a day not long ago that the electric went out and I was upset that I could not go online.

I would be alright without it, however when it comes to getting good online shopping deals, I'd be lost because without a computer we couldn't get online. I'd also rather have one atleast to earn a little money off of, but for entertaining purposes I could just watch t.v., read a book or play a video game without much transition.

I would really be lost without it. I really would go crazy. As much I don't like being so depend on my computer, I just can't help it. I am able to pay bills, earn a few bucks, talk to friends, just to name a few people.

I agree with you...I'd go "crazy"! I really depend on it a lot, since I do all kinds of things with it. Just like you said; when it breaks down?...oh I don't know what I'd do. This is my 4th computer now, as the other motherboards crashed on me....probably due to the fact that I can't be without one every day. Strange??? What did we ever do before when we just had pen and paper? We still got the job done, didn't we? Now it seems that my right arm has a permanent attachment....A MOUSE!

I would be very lost without my computer, since it's my main source for extra spending money and I mainly use it to get extra money since I want to buy stuff.

A lot of the people on here would be pretty lost without a computer because they're on here! To find out about this website in the first place you have to be pretty enthusiastic about computers and the internet, otherwise you'd have been searching for ways to make money in other places :P But yeah between my PC and my PS3 I'm a happy man :)
