Shaking hands....

I was wondering what the myLot community thought about shaking hands! I think that it is a courteous way of greeting somebody, but I also know that some people hate shaking other peoples hands. Some people think it is strange while others may think it spreads germs. Do you think shaking hands is a good way of saying "hello"? What are your thoughts? I especially would like to hear the opinions of myLotters who don't live in the USA and may not be accustomed to this tradition.
